Portuguese Metalworking reach record in October 2014

According to the newspaper "Expresso", the trade association AIMMAP announced a growth of 24% when compared with October 2013.

From January to October, foreign sales increased 8.8% to 11.5 billion euros.
These figures "show that the sector is a key pillar for Portuguese exports", said the vice president of AIMMAP, Rafael Campos Pereira, adding that "this will be a unique year for the sector, which is consolidating a strategy clearly upward in the evolution of its sales abroad".
The European Union represents 67% of the industry sales, while extra-EU major markets were Angola, China, USA, Morocco, Mozambique, Venezuela and Colombia.
